Job summary

Walmart Canada in Grande Prairie, AB is seeking an overnight stocking lead to support department processes, respond to issues, and develop associates through teaching and training. You will plan and execute department activities based on workload and operational needs, and assist on the sales floor as required.

You will direct task coordination, oversee merchandising presentability, lead daily huddles, secure high-ticket items, and conduct safety checks.

• Assist in directing task completion per priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and Store Management Team.
• Assess store department presentation and merchandise displays; implement changes as needed.
• Lead daily Team Huddle, communicate updates, set goals, and track productivity with associates.
• Ensure high-ticket merchandise is secured; perform daily audits and maintain locking protocols.
• Review schedules with People Lead and align staffing with workload.
• Identify training opportunities during area tours with Coach and team; provide feedback.
• Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free environment; complete safety logs per policy.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support Management.
• Partner with Coach/People Lead on performance conversations and recruitment support.

Position Summary...

Assists in the leadership of the overnight stocking teams and department processes, respond to problems and inquiries and develop associates through teaching and training. Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

What you'll do...

• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and the Store Management Team.
• Assesses the overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities.Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.
