Job summary

Walmart in Olds, AB is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate to provide friendly customer service and support stocking and sale of deli and bakery goods.

You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure correct pricing and labeling, and follow cold chain and food handling policies. The role includes preparing hot foods, rotisserie chicken, and bakery items to maintain product quality and display standards.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise.
• Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
