Job summary

Walmart Canada in St. Albert is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas, and assisting with stocking and selling goods.

You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure pricing and signage, follow food safety standards, and help prepare deli and bakery items according to guidelines.

This role starts at CAD 16.95 per hour and emphasizes temperature control, labeling, and customer assistance.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure shelves, tables and displays are organized and products are in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures shelves are signed and priced correctly.
• Follows standards for cold chain, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and food handling.
• Takes orders for Deli merchandise and assists with hot food preparation.
• Prepares deli items using utensils and rotisserie oven as needed.
• Prepares bakery items by following thawing and baking guidelines to maintain quality and appearance.

Position Summary...A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.What you'll do...1. Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location2. Rotates stock and checks for expired products.3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.6. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.8.
