Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, pricing, and preparing deli and bakery items, and ensure compliance with food-handling and cold-chain standards.

The role requires rotating stock, signing signage, and working shifts that may start at 5:00 AM, with pay starting at 18.05 CAD per hour.

• Age – 16 or older.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department so shelves, tables and displays are organized and items are in the right location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to cold chain standards, thermometer checks, and food-handling policies.
• Takes orders for Deli merchandise and prepares hot foods; provides assistance as needed.
• Prepares deli items using utensils; rotisserie chicken, and fills side dishes for display areas.
• Prepares bakery items following thawing and baking guidelines for quality and presentation.
• Follows procedures for ordering, clearance, price changes, signing/labels.
• Flexibility to work shifts starting at 5:00 AM.

Position Summary...A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.What you'll do...1. Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location2. Rotates stock and checks for expired products.3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.6. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.8. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.9.
