Job summary

Walmart Canada in Cornwall, ON is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, rotating stock, pricing, and fulfilling deli and bakery orders.

Responsibilities include following cold chain standards, preparing hot foods, rotisserie chicken, and thawing/baking for display. Starting hourly rate is CAD 18.05.

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure quality and display appearance.
• Follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
