Job summary

Walmart Canada in Calgary is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining and zoning the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, take orders, and prepare deli and bakery items, ensuring proper labeling and pricing.

You will follow food safety guidelines, rotate stock, and uphold standards for cold chain and temperature recording. This role supports a fast-paced retail deli/bakery environment at Walmart Canada.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and products are in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
