Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Campus Security Guard to protect students, staff, visitors, and facilities on Vancouver campus. This role emphasizes proactive patrols, emergency response, and exceptional customer service in a visible campus presence.

The position offers a part-time overnight shift (Saturday and Sunday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM) with uniform provided and opportunities for GardaWorld Academy education support and career growth.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid BC security license.
• First aid certification - OFA 2 - Required.
• Strong communication and exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong report writing and technology skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises on a regular basis.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety hazards, and security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Provide First Aid (OFA 2 level) when required and complete all necessary documentation.
• Maintain accurate reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-ons.
• Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner.
• Assist with access control and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a point of contact for staff, students, and visitors.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when required.
