Job summary

GardaWorld in Surrey, British Columbia, seeks a Transport Security Guard to support the safe transportation of individuals in a controlled environment. You will gain hands-on experience in secure vehicle operations, escort procedures, incident response, and detailed report writing.

This role offers a 12-hour shift schedule, opportunities for career growth, and full GardaWorld benefits. A valid BC Security Guard License, Class 4 driver's license, and the ability to obtain clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Guard License required.
• Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years.
• Unrestricted Class 4 BC Drivers License.
• High school diploma or Canadian equivalent.
• Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• First Aid Level 1 is an asset.
• Advanced Security Training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and escort individuals between facilities.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and security checks.
• Search individuals, luggage, and vehicles per procedures.
• Transport and safeguard personal belongings, luggage, valuables, and other authorized property.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and changing situations during transportation.
• Complete detailed logs, documentation, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and facility personnel.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, security, and operational readiness.
• Follow all established security, transportation, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation and highway safety requirements.
• Maintain a professional and respectful approach in all interactions.
• Perform other duties related to secure transportation and security operations as required.
