Job summary

Evolve Recruitment - Trusted Search Partners has partnered with a growing construction organization in Downtown Vancouver to recruit an experienced Project Manager for Tenant Improvements.

You will own projects from pre-construction to turnover, manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety, and build strong client and trade relationships. The role requires TI and commercial construction experience, proficiency with project controls, and a proactive leadership style.

Qualifications

• Background in tenant improvements, commercial construction or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects through full lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, contracts, permits, RFIs, submittals and change management.
• Experience managing budgets, cost reports, forecasts and cash flow.
• Leadership, communication and relationship-management skills.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Procore, MS Project or similar scheduling/PM platforms.
• Solid understanding of WorkSafeBC requirements and construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of TI and commercial construction projects from pre-con through close-out.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules and forecasts.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, permits and docs to identify scope and cost.
• Tender, negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades and suppliers.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders and site instructions.
• Monitor project costs, progress claims, forecasts and overall financial performance.
• Identify delays, cost impacts and project risks; drive timely resolution.
• Coordinate trades and suppliers to maintain momentum and delivery.
• Lead project close-out, occupancy requirements, warranties and turnover.
• Maintain focus on safety, quality, client satisfaction and successful delivery.
