Job description

This is a fixed term contract through until 31st December 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This posting reflects an existing vacancy.

This role is part of our eBay Inhouse team, where you will be employed by DEPT® but embedded within eBay.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a hybrid AI-Enabled Campaign Manager who combines strategic campaign ownership with hands‑on execution, operational excellence, and a strong interest in AI‑driven marketing innovation.

This role sits at the intersection of campaign strategy, CRM execution, marketing technology, data, and creative production. You will lead and execute customer‑facing campaigns across eBay’s owned channels (email, push, onsite, in‑app, landing pages), while leveraging AI tools and creative capabilities to scale personalization, improve efficiency, and drive performance.

You are both a campaign owner and an operator: comfortable managing timelines and stakeholders, while also building, QA‑ing, and optimizing campaigns yourself. You bring a test‑and‑learn mindset, curiosity for AI, and the ability to turn insights into impactful customer experiences.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Own CRM Campaigns End-to-End
    • Lead campaigns from briefing through to launch, optimisation, and reporting
    • Build and execute campaigns across email, push, onsite, and in‑app channels
    • Deliver personalised, customer‑first experiences aligned to eBays' priorities
    • Manage timelines, stakeholders, approvals, and delivery across global teams
    • Ensure flawless execution through QA, troubleshooting, targeting accuracy, and optimisation
  • Help Shape AI‑Driven Marketing
    • Use AI tools to improve campaign creation, personalisation, and testing
    • Experiment with AI‑generated copy, subject lines, creative concepts, and workflows
    • Support AI prompt development and scalable marketing automation
    • Improve workflows and operational efficiency through AI‑driven ways of working
    • Bring a test‑and‑learn mindset to experimentation and optimisation
    • Ensure responsible AI usage and quality control
  • Support Creative & Performance Optimisations
    • Brief, review, and optimise CRM creative assets
    • Adapt visuals across channels
    • Run A/B tests and turn insights into measurable improvements
    • Help improve engagement, efficiency, and marketing KPIs
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 3+ years in CRM, campaign management, or marketing operations
  • Hands‑on experience with owned channels (email, push, onsite, in‑app)
  • Strong project management and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in e‑commerce, marketplaces, or digital marketing environments
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, matrixed, global environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in campaign QA, execution, and troubleshooting
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with marketing tools (e.g. Jira, Monday, Slack)
  • Understanding of segmentation, targeting, and campaign logic
  • Strong interest in AI applications in marketing
  • Ability to translate marketing needs into effective AI prompts and workflows
  • Strong eye for visual quality, branding, and detail
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to work across teams, functions and locations
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable with continuous change and innovation
WE OFFER
  • A flexible, hybrid working policy
  • An excellent salary based on experience and equal pay policies
  • Mental health support, and company sick pay scheme.
  • 15 days paid holiday annually (plus Public Holidays).
  • Refreshments are provided in the office all week, as well as drinks at 4 pm on a Friday.
  • Enhanced family friendly policies to support new parents.
  • Social and Cultural Events, plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues through organised activities and celebrations.
  • Inspirational Talks, bringing the outside in with regular guest speakers and events.
  • Learning and Development, supporting your growth with continuous opportunities to learn and advance.
  • Buddy Programme: You will be paired with a ‘Buddy’ to help you through your first weeks’ at DEPT®.
  • A reputation for doing good. DEPT® has been a Certified B Corp® since 2021 and named ‘Agency of the Year’ at both The Lovies and The Webby Awards.
  • Awesome clients. Whether big or small, local or global — at DEPT® you’ll get the opportunity to work with clients of all sizes and across all industries. And we celebrate all of our successes together!
