Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a versatile Recruitment Specialist to join our HR Operations team in Calgary. You will proactively source candidates across LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS, job boards and referrals to build strong talent pipelines for North America projects.

You will screen resumes, assess skills and fit, coordinate with hiring managers, and manage candidate progress through early recruitment stages, ensuring a positive candidate experience and accurate records in the ATS.

Qualifications

• Degree in administration, human resources, communications.
• Two years+ recruitment experience, construction/engineering exposure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Experience negotiating job offers and aligning talent strategies with company objectives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn is essential.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS, job boards, referrals, and market mapping techniques
• Conduct resume reviews and initial screening interviews to assess skills, experience, and role fit
• Evaluate candidates against job requirements, competencies, and hiring criteria
• Manage candidate progress through the early stages of the recruitment process
• Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ATS
