Job summary

Kiewit in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a curious and collaborative Recruitment Specialist to join our North America team. You will source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, review resumes, and conduct initial screenings to match candidates with construction and engineering roles.

You'll build relationships with hiring managers, manage the candidate experience, and maintain accurate ATS records, helping us attract top talent for projects across Canada and beyond.

Qualifications

• Degree in administration, human resources, communications, or a related discipline.
• Two years+ recruitment experience, construction/engineering exposure
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for influencing internal teams and external stakeholders
• Experience negotiating job offers and understanding business environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn is essential.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS, job boards, referrals, and market mapping techniques
• Conduct resume reviews and initial screening interviews to assess skills, experience, and role fit
• Evaluate candidates against job requirements, competencies, and hiring criteria
• Manage candidate progress through the early stages of the recruitment process
• Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ATS
