Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple projects in the Calgary area, ensuring safe, profitable execution aligned with company strategy. The role is based at the Quarry Park office with regular site travel.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree or diploma, at least 3 years as a Project Manager, and proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, manage schedules, and lead diverse teams. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or Diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Project Manager; other civil roles considered.
• Familiarity with City of Calgary area projects and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with Aecon's EH&S management system.
• Develop and manage Health & Safety Plans andQuality Management Plans.
• Interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Prepare work schedules and coordinate project staff.
• Provide onsite management of crews, subcontractors and resources.
• Inspect workmanship and adherence to schedules.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and pay quantities/reports.
• Chair meetings and drive defined outcomes.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.
