Guide Woodworking Inc is seeking a skilled cabinet/millwork worker to operate woodworking machines, read plans, and assemble components on site in Mississauga. You will trim joints, sand surfaces, and apply finishes to achieve high-quality results.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and teamwork in a custom shop environment. This is an on-site position requiring physical uptime and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience in operating woodworking machinery is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to stay on task are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape and form parts.
• Study plans and drawings to ensure correct fabrication.
• Trim joints and fit components to form complete units; reinforce joints.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
