What You’ll Do
- Review and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices.
- Issue and track purchase orders, following up with vendors for timely delivery.
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships, sourcing new vendors when needed.
- Ensure materials comply with WHMIS, TDG, and hazardous material handling guidelines.
- Support internal teams by researching and identifying required materials.
- Maintain accurate procurement records in the system (ERRC, inventory count, and dollar values).
- Collaborate with technical teams for product catalog information.
- Assist with logistics and problem-solving to ensure smooth operations.
Who You Are
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in purchasing, materials management, or logistics.
- Education: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Material Management (or equivalent experience).
- Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of procurement methods and accounting principles.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work within ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work cross-culturally and adapt to priorities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Maximo, Oracle, and/or Oracle Discoverer.
- Familiarity with other ERP systems is an asset.
