Job description

Our client, located near Orangeville, ON has immediate opportunities for a Buyer to join their team.

Wage: $60k range, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Support Purchasing related activities to be J-Sox compliant
  • Support and recommend new vendors
  • Issue purchase orders
  • Ensure timely and accurate supplier delivery
  • Assist departments in obtaining pricing/cost/shipping/warranty and other pertinent information related to products and services they inquire about
  • Develop and maintain Cost savings and report monthly
  • Fulfill requests to purchase products and services that are needed
  • Expedite orders and handle rush orders for all departments as needed
  • Arrange transportation services
  • Work in MRO/stockrooms as needed
  • Preparation of customs documentation as required

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to use standard presentation techniques via Power Point
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally, listen and in writing
  • Must be able to maintain professional decorum at all times
  • Must be able to encourage a “team” environment
  • Must be able to provide business reports, analysis and or data that are appropriate for the circumstance
