Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a part-time Gaming Assistant to support restaurant and gaming-floor operations. You will assist with stocking, cleaning, and providing excellent customer service to patrons and staff.

The role requires attention to cleanliness, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and compliance with health and safety standards. Training and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ year of related experience.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to obtain Category 2 Gaming Assistant registration with AGCO.
  • Smart Serve Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant, self-serve areas, staff cafeteria and gaming floor.
  • Deliver high-caliber customer service to patrons and employees.
  • Stock self-serve stations.
  • Operate a commercial dishwasher safely.
  • Keep workspaces clean and sanitized and comply with health and safety standards.

Starting Wage: $17.95 / hour

The Position

Aids in the stocking and cleaning of the restaurant, washing dishes, cleaning self-serve areas, staff cafeteria and gaming floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant, self-serve areas, staff cafeteria and gaming floor to ensure all are professional in appearance,
  • Maintain the highest caliber of customer service to patrons and employees
  • Stock self-serve stations
  • The ability to run a commercial dishwasher safely
  • Keep workspaces clean and sanitized and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
What You Bring
  • A secondary school diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education.
  • Experience in related field of one (1) or more years.
  • Proven high level of Customer Service
  • The ability to work and excel in a fast-paced large volume business.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Smart Serve Certification
