Job summary

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited is hiring for a part-time position focused on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the casino facilities. You will perform cleaning and sanitation in public and staff areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Starting wage is $17.95 per hour. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and shifts, with opportunities for benefits, training, and career growth within a national company.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and shifts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to lift and move cleaning supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and sanitation activities for public and employee areas
• Cleans building floors, furniture, fixtures and any equipment
• Services, cleans, and provides supplies to restrooms
• Practices safe work procedures and health and safety policies ensuring a safe and hazard free environment
• Reports any maintenance or safety issues

What You Bring

• A secondary school diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education
• Experience in the related field of one (1) or more years
• Proven high level of Customer Service
• Organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
• The ability to work evenings, weekends and shift work
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move house cleaning equipment and supplies
• Good physical fitness to maintain a constant pace of manual work
• General knowledge of cleanliness and sanitation
• The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
