Job summary

emergiTEL is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for our banking client in Downtown Toronto. This contract role demands 6–9 years in banking BA/BSA with strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

You will liaise with business stakeholders and a third-party vendor, coordinate changes, and oversee testing timelines. Hybrid work up to 2 days/week, with emphasis on collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 6 to 9 years of Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience within the banking sector.
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience within the banking or financial services industry is mandatory.
• Experience working with vendor-supported applications and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and ALM.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Business Analyst for major initiatives by gathering and documenting business requirements, identifying stakeholders, and creating BRDs and DRS.
• Serve as Project Coordinator for quarterly Change Requests (CRs).
• Manage intake, prioritization, and coordination of smaller enhancement requests.
• Coordinate activities across development, QA, testing, and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the third-party vendor for application development and support.
• Own and coordinate business testing activities and ensure testing timelines are met.
• Support high-priority production issues when required.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project objectives and deadlines are achieved.

emergiTEL is hiring a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for our client in the Banking industry. This is a Contract role.

Compensation:$50-$60

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid - up to 2 days/week in office)

Job Description

• Act as a Business Analyst for major initiatives by:
  • Gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Identifying and managing stakeholders.
  • Creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Detailed Requirements Specifications (DRS).
• Serve as Project Coordinator for quarterly Change Requests (CRs).
• Manage intake, prioritization, and coordination of smaller enhancement requests.
• Coordinate activities across development, QA, testing, and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the third-party vendor responsible for application development and support.

Contract Details

• Initial 6-month contract with possibility of extension.
• Hybrid work arrangement with an expectation of up to 2 days per week in the Downtown Toronto office.
• Single interview round (approximately 45 minutes).
