Job summary

emergiTEL Inc. is seeking a Senior Wealth Technology Consultant to join our client’s Wealth Technology team.

You will evaluate the technical landscape, provide hands-on support for in-flight wealth initiatives, and design a scalable roadmap to modernize the platform for future growth. You will bridge wealth-management requirements with enterprise architecture, lead cross-functional delivery on large-scale projects, and ensure integration across trading, portfolio management, and compliance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical experience directly supporting the wealth management arm of a bank, brokerage, or financial institution.
• Broad understanding of wealth management processes, including clearing and settlement, fee management, portfolio rebalancing, client onboarding, and financial planning tools.
• Strong background in enterprise application integration, database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), API integration patterns (REST/SOAP/GraphQL), and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Landscape Assessment & Modernization: Assess the current application suite, identifying technical debt, integration bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Roadmap & Strategy: Develop and execute a phased roadmap that supports long-term business growth and operational resiliency.
• Project Delivery & Support: Provide technical leadership and Tier-3 application support for active, critical wealth initiatives across front-, middle-, and back-office platforms.
• Vendor & Tool Integration: Manage technical integrations, data flows, and API orchestration between core platforms, including trading, portfolio management, clearing, compliance, and wealth planning systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business analysts, developers, enterprise architects, and business leaders to align technical solutions with organizational goals.

Project Description

This position will be part of several large-scale projects, including the introduction of a new portfolio management system and a new fund management system into our client’s wealth technology ecosystem.

• Roadmap & Strategy: Develop and execute a phased roadmap that supports long-term business growth and operational resiliency.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

• Industry Expertise: 8+ years of technical experience directly supporting the wealth management arm of a bank, brokerage, or financial institution.
• Domain Knowledge: Broad understanding of wealth management processes, including clearing and settlement, fee management, portfolio rebalancing, client onboarding, and financial planning tools.
• Technical Skills: Strong background in enterprise application integration, database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), API integration patterns (REST/SOAP/GraphQL), and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Industry Platform Experience: Hands-on proficiency or deep technical familiarity with a combination of the following wealth applications is highly desirable: Dataphile, PureWealth, iBalance, d1g1t, Charles River, Conquest, Execlear, Varicent, Fidessa, Fundserv, and similar platforms.
