BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER

Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been engaged to recruit a Branch Business Operations Manager for a progressive Crop Input dealer group in Northern Alberta, along the Peace River.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE BRANCH BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER

As the Manager, you will develop, manage, and implement the business plan and operating budget, conduct retail audits, set sales objectives, and oversee invoicing and accounts receivable in accordance with company policy. You will also direct all aspects of daily operations, including maintenance and repair of the facility to ensure safety, efficiency, and profitability.

You will consult with customers, suppliers, management, and other industry personnel to promote products and services, foster a culture of care, and ensure compliance with all industry regulations and EH&S standards.

You will manage all aspects of human resources, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and discharging staff within company policy and regulatory compliance.

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?

  • Ideally, 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in the agri-business sector, such as crop input/crop protection industry, agrifinance, equipment sales, or grain marketing.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of leadership or staff management experience.
  • A Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business Certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education (considering combinations of education and experience).
  • A proven track record in sales, marketing, and branch management/budgeting, with a strong agronomic background considered an asset.
  • Must hold a valid Canadian driver’s license.
