Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval is seeking a Business Operational Excellence Specialist to lead process-improvement initiatives and deploy the OE program across manufacturing operations. You will drive Lean Six Sigma projects, mentor leaders, and deliver executive-ready insights through Power BI and related tools.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing, strong change-management skills, and fluency in English and French, with occasional travel to support BOE deployment across sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Operations or Business Management.
• 10+ years of manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Expert in Kaizen, Lean, and structured problem solving.
• Proven leader in project, change management and operational transformation.
• Strong track record of training, coaching, and mentoring leaders and teams.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver executive-level presentations.
• Fully bilingual in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate process improvement and problem-solving projects using Lean Six Sigma to cut waste and boost efficiency.
• Develop strategies and solutions for deploying the company-wide Operational Excellence initiative, including tools and leadership practices.
• Be the expert to engage the organization and promote OE as the standard for business performance.
• Develop training strategies with stakeholders to raise teams' performance management capabilities and delivering value to customers.
• Conduct detailed analysis of operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Be a process-based leader driving standardization, KPIs, and infrastructure to sustain improvements.
• Lead change management efforts with clear communications to ensure stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Lead and facilitate process improvement and problem-solving projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to identify and eliminate waste and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop Strategies and solutions to support the deployment of our company wide Operational Excellence Initiative including technical elements, management tools and practices and leadership skills.
• Be the ‘expert’ that engages the organization to embrace the change and develop the organization to ensure the OE approach is the fundamental way to ‘manage’ the business performance and alignment to the company goals.
• Develop training strategies and solutions along with organizational stakeholders that will increase the knowledge base of the teams around performance management, delivering value to our customers.
• Conduct detailed analysis of operational data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Be a process-based leader that instills a culture of standardization and execution through effective use of process, aligned KPIs and infrastructure.
• Lead the change using formal change management approach and communication strategy to ensure stakeholder engagement, full team collaboration and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
