Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, QC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional to drive facility layout management and continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead industrialization projects, optimize equipment requirements, and support 5S and lean deployment in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing setting.

The role requires a DEC or Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering with 2+ years in production environments.

Qualifications

• College Diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing/production incl. facility layout and tooling.
• Strong communication, ability to translate complex tasks into practical solutions.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative and autonomy.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
• Knowledge of the aerospace industry; ability to communicate in French; English an asset.

• Manage facility layout and workspace reconfiguration projects.
• Lead continuous improvement and industrialization projects.
• Facilitate Kaizen workshops to implement solutions and engage operational teams.
• Develop and obtain approval for facility and production layouts.
• Monitor and follow up on equipment and facility implementation plans.
• Support 5S deployment and sustainment activities.
• Analyze production capacity and define equipment and tooling requirements.
• Develop business cases to support capital investments and acquisitions.
• Create and maintain equipment and tooling inventories and optimize related processes.

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a College Diploma (DEC) or a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, including experience in facility layout management and tooling.
• You possess strong abilities to communicate, simplify concepts, and translate complex tasks into practical solutions.
• You demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and autonomy.
• You are a strong team player.
• You demonstrate leadership, patience, perseverance, curiosity, and a willingness to take on challenges.
• You are proficient with Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset.
• You have knowledge of the aerospace industry.
• You are able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in French; English is considered an asset.
