Our wonderful new client specializes in the distribution and manufacturing of high tech products, and is looking to grow the organization with a new Business Development Specialist in Western Canada. Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Regularly prospecting to develop relationships from infancy to full partnerships
  • Managing new and existing clients, ensuring that all needs are met by providing sales advice/upselling products
  • Continuously meeting sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Participating in face-to-face, Microsoft Teams, and phone meetings to provide education and product knowledge to new and existing clients
  • Developing long-term relationships with clients and creating account plans to foster repeat customers
  • Some travelling to and from offices and client sites

Education:

  • Post secondary degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technician/Technology or related field of study

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
  • Proven prospecting abilities
  • High aptitude for technology and the trends within the industry

Experience:

  • 3+ years of outbound and/or field sales
  • Experience/exposure i n electrical and/or electronic-based technologies
  • Basic knowledge of some test and measurement products and/or technology sales are highly preferred for this role

Base Salary:$75,000 – $95,000 base per year + commission

  • Average on target earnings: $100,000 – $120,000+
  • Incentives and bonuses

Work Hours:

  • 40 hours per work

Remote Work:

  • This is a flexible/hybrid work model
