Job description

Our client is an energy management firm focused on designing and supplying metering solutions, we are looking for talented and experienced sales professionals to join their growing team. An ideal candidate is a sales-oriented mechanical or electrical engineer who likes to share their knowledge with our customers; a people-skilled hunter who improves constantly and doesn't give up when challenges become more difficult than expected.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with customers by staying in touch and actively responding to their needs.
  • Analyze client's technical needs, with an understanding of their process and operations.
  • Identify opportunities and develop technical solutions to meet customers' needs and requirements.
  • Articulate product characteristics and our key differentiators on the market.
  • Work closely with the design and manufacturing team to improve customers' experience.
  • Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedules.
  • Travel to companies and businesses to sell metering equipment for mechanical and electrical uses.
  • Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements in order to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products.
  • Perform product demonstrations, installations, and application support.
  • Improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers in person or by phone.
  • Take orders and get signed proposals.
  • Perform other duties as required.

About you:

  • You are a professional self-starter who is able to work collaboratively with other disciplines.
  • Having worked in a growing environment you are focused on learning and improvement.
  • Show sound experience in selling mechanical/electrical equipment to trades and engineers.
  • Understand mechanical and electrical processes.
  • Show great time management skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Are computer literate (CRM and MS Office applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word ).

Your Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar sales role.
  • Engineering background and/or technical aptitude.
  • Ability to define customer specifications and needs in order to specify and quote an engineered product.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
