Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Business Development Manager in Eastern Canada to join our dynamic Corporate Development team, supporting the continued growth of our nearly 300 acquired pharmacy locations across Canada! Our Support Office is located in Toronto, Ontario.

Location :

This role is remote, with frequent travel required throughout Eastern Canada; occasional national travel may also be necessary.

Job Description :

Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development, the Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and drive an acquisition pipeline that supports sustainable growth. This role is crucial in expanding our market presence and achieving strategic growth objectives.

Responsibilities :
  1. Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities :
    1. Research and identify potential acquisitions, partnership opportunities, and new markets in the retail pharmacy sector.
    2. Develop and implement strategies to establish relationships with pharmacies, especially in Eastern Canada.
    3. Create new relationships and strengthen existing ones, collaborating with the Vice President, Business Development to identify suitable locations for acquisition.
    4. Maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with independent pharmacy owners and other key industry stakeholders.
    5. Understand their needs and objectives to offer tailored solutions.
    6. Work closely with the Corporate Development team to successfully complete acquisitions.
  2. Reporting :
    1. Utilize CRM platforms to keep accurate records of Business Development activities.
    2. Provide timely reports on the sales pipeline.
Qualifications & Skills :
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  2. Proven success in Business Development.
  3. Experience and relationships in the pharmacy industry are highly preferred.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  6. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Willingness and ability to travel to meet pharmacy owners and attend industry events.
