Job summary

Nomadis is seeking a sales professional to drive growth in the Canadian and US markets, focusing on mining and energy sectors. You will manage the full sales lifecycle, from outreach to tailored demonstrations and proposals, acting as a strategic partner to optimize workforce logistics.

Role requires located in Alberta or British Columbia to apply, with a home office setup and regular visits to client sites across Canada.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience selling SaaS or technology to mining, energy or heavy industry.
  • Proven track record in workforce logistics or travel software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify opportunities in the Canada/US market, targeting mining and energy sectors.
  • Lead discovery calls and deliver tailored software demonstrations addressing client pain points.
  • Draft indicative quotes and proposals; coordinate contract aspects with our Montreal head office.

Job description

As part of our commercial team in Canada, you will be responsible for driving growth on the Canadian & US market, primarily in the mining and energy sectors.

This role covers the full sales lifecycle, from initial outreach to conducting tailored demonstrations and producing proposals. Acting as a strategic partner, the role focuses on helping mining/resources companies optimize workforce logistics through a consultative, discovery-led approach.

Responsibilities and Accountability
Business Development & Prospecting

As part of our commercial team in Canada, you will be responsible for driving growth on the Canadian & US market, primarily in the mining and energy sectors.

This role covers the full sales lifecycle, from initial outreach to conducting tailored demonstrations and producing proposals. Acting as a strategic partner, the role focuses on helping mining/resources companies optimize workforce logistics through a consultative, discovery-led approach.

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities on the market in the targeted sectors (mining, energy & others)
  • Build relationships with key decision‑makers within Canadian companies operating remotely in mining and in other relevant industry sectors.
  • Manage the initial "back-and-forth" to secure interest and manage the opportunity pipeline.
Discovery & Tailored Demonstrations
  • Lead discovery calls to clarify prospect workflows, rosters, and logistical challenges.
  • Conduct high‑impact, tailored software demonstrations that address specific client pain points.
  • Engage with prospects throughout the sales funnel, with well‑targeted and personalized interventions to progress opportunities efficiently.
Scoping & Proposal Management
  • Clarify the solution required and scope of implementation based on client requirements and interviews.
  • Draft engaging Indicative Quotes and Proposals that meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate contractual aspects of the deal in collaboration with our head office in Montreal.
Skills and Profile
  • Resourcefulness & Autonomy: High degree of self‑motivation and the ability to work independently from a home office while collaborating with the Montreal team.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English; ability to present to C‑suite executives and site managers; ease at adapting demonstrations and message to address specific clients’ needs and processes.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze complex logistical workflows and generate creative software solutions for clients.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to scoping and contractual documentation.
  • Continuous Learning: Desire to stay at the frontier of mining technology and workforce management methodologies.
  • Language: Excellent oral and written proficiency in English required. Functional French is an asset.
Required Technical Skills
  • Software Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • CRM & Sales Tools: Experience managing complex sales cycles within a CRM environment (preferably Pipedrive)
Professional and Academic Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, specifically selling SaaS or technology solutions to the mining, energy or heavy industry sectors
  • Proven track record in workforce logistics, travel or workforce related software is highly preferred.

Work Conditions
  • Employment Status: Full‑time permanent position, with a base salary and a performance‑based commission plan.
  • Remote/Flexible: Primarily working from a home office in Alberta or British Columbia, with frequent visits to client offices, and travel for commercial events and remote sites across Canada as required.
  • Global Collaboration: Periodic strategic meetings with the Montreal team, held by video conference and in person.
