From modern terminal facilities in Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB, Winnipeg, MB, and Terrace, BC, our reliable drivers operate throughout Western Canada and the Central US States. Our experienced team of professionals provides exceptional service to industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, building products, waste, and mining. Our diversified fleet includes pneumatic tankers, flat decks, step decks, curtain side trailers, vans, side dump, and end dump trailers.

WE ARE HIRING! We are seeking an influential and highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing team TODAY. This role involves developing new business growth with direct experience in the dry bulk and full truckload industry. The successful candidate will support existing and new clients with product and value-added programs. Based at our head office in Calgary, the candidate will source and solicit new business opportunities through reports, leads, and telemarketing, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Scope
  • Generate sales from new and existing customers
  • Collaborate with internal support/leadership to meet customer needs, drive sales forecasts, and document service expectations
  • Maintain a sales funnel capable of delivering revenue at or above goals, with accurate analytics demonstrating strategic ownership
  • Manage all pipeline content via communication platforms
  • Conduct business reviews with customers on project progress and goals
  • Present data and proposals to customers, team members, and stakeholders
  • Develop pricing strategies with the Vice President of Sales and present proposals to customers
  • Manage and cultivate customer relationships post-sale for continued growth
  • Achieve annual revenue growth targets as set by the Vice President of Sales
  • Document all sales activities in our CRM system
  • This role may require up to 15% business travel.
What You Bring
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Development Manager in the bulk and full truckload industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field (asset)
  • Superior problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
