We are looking for a Business Development & Market Research Analyst to support the growth of our commercialconstruction services. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is both analytical and strategic — capable of identifying new business opportunities through in-depth market research while also supporting lead generation, proposal development, and client engagement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in informing go-to-market strategies, supporting bid decisions, and helping position the company for long-term growth in the infrastructure construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct detailed research on market trends, regulatory developments, capital projects, and investment activity in public/private infrastructure construction.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and positioning in target markets.
- Develop data-driven reports, forecasting models, and dashboards to support business development, strategic planning, and executive decision-making.
- Analyze government infrastructure spending programs and regulatory changes to identify funding pipelines and procurement trends.
- Track and report on innovations, emerging construction technologies, and sustainability practices relevant to the company’s service offerings.
Business Development Support
- Identify new business opportunities, clients, and strategic partners within the infrastructure sectors.
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and project teams to align market intelligence with active project pursuits.
- Assist in prequalification efforts and proposal development by providing supporting data, insights, and industry context.
- Maintain and update CRM tools with market intel, lead tracking, and client data.
- Contribute to the creation of business development materials, capability statements, and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in market research, business development, or strategic analysis — within construction, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong proficiency in research and analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of civil and infrastructure construction in commercial and public sectors.
- Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive, self-directed mindset.
