Job description

Location: Montreal, QC (on-site)

Term: Permanent

High Tech Genesis is hiring a Business Analyst – Project Management and Risk to join our Information Services team. Reporting to the CIO, this role will act as the key link between IS and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on solutions and services.

In this role, you will:

1. Be the key point of contact between IS and key stakeholders in the business, representing the interface to the IS team for the respective solution and service.

2. Adopt a systems thinking approach by viewing the big picture, developing an end-to-end understanding of business processes, and aligning with the vision, demand, and best practices of Information Solutions.

3. Translate IS needs into functional and technical requirements, ensuring system requirements are complete and aligned with strategic objectives, while maintaining high quality standards.

4. Support the development, validation, and evaluation of the IS architecture against requirements.

5. Initiate projects including effort estimation according to project management framework in coordination with other IS team members and external partners as needed.

6. Drive the definition and implementation of end-to-end solutions to meet strategic goals considering the service roadmap.

7. Drive the definition and adherence to the business case of new solutions and services.

8. Support end user adoption, Key User development & Training, and business process support processes.

9. Facilitate company and department procedures.

Qualifications:

• University Degree in project management, waterfall, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or Computer Science, or equivalent.

• 5 years of relevant experience in project/portfolio management, waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodology.

• 5 years of experience with Atlassian / Jira / Confluence.

• 5 years of relevant experience in project management solutions in the field of Architecture, Applications / Business / IT Consulting.

Bonus skills:

• Understanding market trends and solutions, assessing existing solutions against them, and influencing the roadmap.

• A professional designation and expertise in the relevant area, and/or business process analysis certification, is an asset.

• Experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Bilingual in English and French.
