Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a small wall-mounted device that empowers users to own their energy supply by utilizing solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing energy flow between solar panels, EVs, backup batteries, and the grid.

The opportunity

dcbel is seeking to hire a Business Analyst - Project Management and Risk to join our Information Services team. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between the IS team and business stakeholders, representing the interface for respective solutions and services.

Main responsibilities

1. Act as the primary contact between IS and key business stakeholders, representing the interface to the IS team for specific solutions and services.
2. Apply system thinking to develop a comprehensive understanding of business processes and information solutions demand, vision, and best practices.
3. Translate IS needs into functional and technical requirements, ensuring system requirements align with dcbel’s strategy and quality standards.
4. Support the development, validation, and evaluation of the IS architecture against business requirements.
5. Initiate projects, including effort estimation, in coordination with the IS team and external partners, following project management frameworks.
6. Drive the definition and implementation of end-to-end solutions to meet strategic objectives, considering the service roadmap.
7. Define and adhere to business cases for new solutions and services.
8. Support end-user adoption, key user development, training, and business process support.
9. Facilitate company and departmental procedures.

Key requirements

• University degree in project management, waterfall, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in project/portfolio management using waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Minimum of 5 years in project management solutions within Architecture, Applications, Business, or IT Consulting.

Bonus skills

• Understanding market trends and assessing existing solutions to influence the product roadmap.
• Professional certifications related to business process analysis or relevant fields are an asset.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Bilingual in English and French.
