Business Analyst, Operations & Innovation

REPORTING TO : Manager, Operations & Innovation

The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance within the organization. This position requires a critical thinker who can analyze existing operations, gather and synthesize data, and execute projects that drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, project and change management, ensuring that new processes and systems are successfully adopted across the organization. By working closely with cross-functional teams, the Business Analyst will help align operational processes with business goals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

This role is essential in bridging the gap between business strategy and operational execution, ensuring that the organization operates at peak efficiency while continuously adapting to new challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities : Business Analysis :

  • Analyze current business processes to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, and develop solutions.
  • Create detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and workflows to support operational excellence initiatives.
  • Develop performance metrics and KPIs to monitor ongoing performance and identify areas for further optimization.

Project Management :

  • Manage and implement operational excellence projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and track progress against goals and timelines.
  • Facilitate cross-functional project meetings to ensure alignment and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and communicate status updates to project stakeholders.

Change Management :

  • Implement change management strategies to support smooth transitions during process improvement initiatives.
  • Work with business units to identify potential resistance to changes and develop effective communication and training plans.
  • Ensure the adoption of new processes and technologies by delivering targeted training and user support.
  • Act as a change champion, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Operational Excellence Initiatives :

  • Identify and execute opportunities to drive operational improvements through data-driven decision making.
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiency.
  • Partner with teams to implement best practices, ensuring scalable and sustainable business operations.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to measure success and identify areas for further refinement.

Requirements : Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience :

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, operational excellence, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in project management and change management is essential.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficient in change management principles and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead through influence.
  • Visio / Process Mapping Knowledge and Experience, Powerpoint

Certifications :

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
  • Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) is an advantage.
