Job summary

The Town of Milton is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to support digital transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with departments, Digital Solutions Analysts, project managers, vendors and technical resources to document needs, map processes and ensure successful adoption of changes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s or diploma in IT/BA, five years of related experience, ITIL/PMI-PBA CBAP or equivalent, and strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma required in IT, BA, CS, public administration or related field.
  • Five years of business analysis, process improvement or related experience.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent; PMI-PBA/CBAP or similar certification.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, and process mapping.
  • Familiarity with municipal/public sector contexts and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Leads stakeholder discovery to gather and prioritize business requirements, including process maps, user stories and use cases.
  • Facilitates current-state and future-state business process analyses.
  • Supports intake enrichment and requirements traceability; aids solution validation.
  • Develops business requirements, process maps, user stories and related documentation.
  • Coordinates and supports UAT, test scenarios and business validation.
  • Assists with training materials and user documentation; supports change management activities.
