Job summary

Affinity Credit Union in Saskatchewan is seeking a Business Advisory Specialist to support business and agricultural members. You will work with a collaborative team to grow member relationships and assist with commercial lending and financing activities.

You’ll review files, resolve member inquiries, and identify opportunities to deepen relationships through referrals with internal partners. A post-secondary diploma and 2 years related experience are required, with experience advising

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field plus 2 years of related experience.
• Experience making expert product and service recommendations to businesses.
• Experience with digital channels and devices (online services, mobile apps, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support Business Advisors in growing and maintaining member relationships.
• Assist with commercial lending and financing activities, incl. loan applications and payouts.
• Review member files to ensure information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve complex member inquiries and identify solutions to improve experience.
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through referrals with internal partners.

What you’ll do:

• Support Business Advisors in growing and maintaining member relationships through a collaborative, team-based approach
• Assist with commercial lending and financing activities, including initiating loan applications, preparing documentation, processing loan payouts, and coordinating fund disbursements
• Review member files and documentation to ensure information is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
• Resolve complex member inquiries and proactively identify solutions that improve the member experience.
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through referrals and collaboration with internal partners.

What you’ve got:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in making expert product and service recommendations, including to businesses, as well as providing quality member centric referrals to other financial solutions experts
• Experience with using a broad range of digital channels and devices (i.e. online services, mobile applications, smartphones, tablets, etc.)
• Industry leading sales ability in growing a book, achieving targets, making referrals, and building a pipeline using a member centric approach
