Job summary

Affinity Credit Union in Rural Saskatoon is seeking a Business Advisor to deliver tailored financial advice to small and medium enterprises and agricultural members. You will act as a subject-matter expert on operations, financing, and corporate structures, helping members build solid plans and sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate has a post-secondary diploma or degree and at least three years of related experience, plus proven sales ability and the capacity to interpret financial statements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in financial services or business advisory.
• Strong sales ability with a track record of growing a customer book
• Ability to interpret financial statements and build operating models
• Experience serving small/medium enterprises or agriculture sectors

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for SMBs and agriculture members' operating, corporate, and financing needs
• Develop business cases, set up business financials, operating models, and registrations for members
• Educate members using technology to deliver a memorable experience and drive sales
• Provide policy and program advice for sales, service and marketing initiatives targeting the Business Advisor segment

What you’ll do:

• Act as subject matter expert for small and medium enterprises, providing expertise related to their operational, corporate structure and financing needs
• Provide advice and resources to develop business cases, set up business financials, operating models, business registration, etc. for Business Advisors
• Focus on member education using technology to deliver a memorable member experience, drive sales and retain business
• Provide policy and program advice for sales, service and marketing initiatives targeting the Business Advisor segment

What you’ve got:

• A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Industry leading sales ability in growing a book, achieving targets and building a pipeline using a member centric approach
• Ability to interpret financial statements and business operating models
