Job summary

The La Loche Housing Authority is seeking a Building Services, Level 3 to join the team immediately. Responsibilities include ensuring rental units are ready, minor repairs, painting prep, and groundskeeping to support a safe, well-maintained housing environment.

They require experience across trades, strong communication, and an ability to work on-call, including evenings and weekends. An excellent benefits package including pension and Northern Allowance is offered.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education with basic computer skills (Word/Outlook/Excel) and post-secondary in business or trade training.
• 5 years experience in maintenance and repair or an equivalent combination.
• Self-motivated, able to handle stress and respect diversity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and enhanced criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure housing units are rent ready by minor repairs and prep before painting.
• Assist with garbage removal, janitorial duties, and groundskeeping.
• Support routine and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain positive relationships with management, staff and tenants.
