Job summary

The City of Delta is seeking qualified Building Service Workers to support facilities in North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen. This auxiliary role performs floors, windows, washrooms and general janitorial duties.

Required: Building Service Worker Certificate, valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence, and the ability to lift heavy loads. The compensation ranges from $28.97 to $33.92 per hour plus 12% in lieu of vacation and holidays. Interviews may occur throughout the posting period.

Qualifications

• Building Service Worker Certificate
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia
• Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in janitorial work
• Ability to deal courteously and effectively with internal and external contacts
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform heavy lifting
