Job summary

Alliance Maintenance in Vancouver is seeking a Building Caretaker to keep the interior and exterior of our residential buildings clean and presentable on a daily basis. You will also support building operations and handle administrative tasks as needed.

The role involves frequent movement around the Greater Vancouver area, flexible shifts from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and duties such as responding to maintenance needs, assisting with move-ins/out, programming entry codes, and helping

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Hands-on maintenance and cleaning skills.
• Reliable, punctual and customer-focused.
• Able to lift 20 lbs and climb a 5-ft ladder.
• Willing to use cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Open to cleaning light biohazard waste.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and online tools.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and products.

Responsibilities

• Clean the common areas of the building.
• Assist in building move-ins and move-outs.
• Handle emails, amenity bookings, supplies, and incident reporting.
• Inspect building for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs.
• Program enter-phone codes and fobs.
• Support the property manager with notices and rule enforcement.
• Assist first responders and execute emergency protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (lighting, painting, drywall, power washing, snow/ice removal).
• Other duties as required.

Details:

The Building Caretaker is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and outside, on a daily basis, but will also support building operations and assist with administrative tasks.

Available Shift:

• Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Flexible)
• No fixed location: You'll be moving around the Greater Vancouver area to cover/support our buildings as needed.
