Job summary

The Town of Shellbrook is seeking Parks & Facilities Maintenance staff to care for parks, playgrounds, open spaces, cemetery, campground, and town facilities. Roles may be seasonal, part-time, or full-time as required.

Essential duties include operating mowing equipment, parks maintenance, arena and facility upkeep, janitorial tasks, sidewalk maintenance, and community beautification. Applicants should meet the listed qualifications and be able to work flexibly.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent required.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and SGI abstract required.
• Experience operating equipment is an asset.
• Able to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowers and grass cutting equipment to maintain town parks.
• Perform parks and recreation facilities maintenance tasks.
• Maintain arenas and curling ice as assigned.
• Carry out janitorial and sidewalk maintenance.
• Provide customer service and assist beautification efforts.
• Handle other duties as required by supervision.

The Town is looking to add Full-time, Part-time and Casual staff to our team.

Parks & Facilities Maintenance Employees are responsible to complete the day-to-day duties associated with keeping the Town of Shellbrook Parks, Playgrounds, Open Spaces, Cemetery, campground, and Town owned facilities attractive and in good order.

The Parks & Facilities Employees may be hired on a seasonal, part-time, or full-time basis as required.
