Breakfast Camp Cook Helper–
H.C. Mining Ltd. is seeking a reliable, hardworking individual to support daily meal service at a remote placer mining camp serving approximately 40 people.
The Camp Cook will be responsible for preparing breakfast, assisting with hot and packed lunches, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and smoothly operating kitchen.
This is a great opportunity for someone with basic cooking and breakfast preparation experience who is interested in developing their culinary skills in a unique camp environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily hot breakfasts, including eggs, bacon, breakfast sandwiches, and other breakfast items.
• Assist with preparing hot lunches and packed lunches.
• Cut, prepare, portion, and store food safely.
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
• Clean food-storage areas, appliances, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Follow proper food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Work cooperatively with other camp and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Basic cooking and food-preparation knowledge.
• Previous kitchen, catering, or camp experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable living and working in a remote mining camp.
• Reliable, dependable, clean, organized, and able to maintain a positive attitude.
• Able to work flexible hours based on camp and operational needs.

Required Certification

• A valid Food Safe certificate is mandatory.

Schedule and Season

• This is a seasonal position beginning as soon as possible and ending in October 2026.
• There is no fixed or guaranteed rotation schedule.
• Work schedules and time away from camp will vary depending on operational requirements, staffing needs, and weather conditions.
• Applicants must be flexible and prepared to remain in camp for varying periods of time.

Camp accommodations and meals are provided while working at the mine site.
