Job summary

Money Mart in Sydney, NS is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a busy branch, coach a sales-focused team, and ensure compliant operations. You will drive customer service excellence while managing cash, POS transactions, and day-to-day branch activity.

The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and a track record of meeting sales goals in a retail/financial services environment. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
• Experience in management or team leadership is required.
• Sales-driven with a track record of achieving targets in a retail/finance setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to train and coach staff.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily branch operations and coach team members to meet sales goals.
• Drive branch sales, manage referrals, and control expenses while ensuring compliance.
• Promote and process loans, cards, money transfers and related services per policy.
• Explain product features and terms clearly to customers and document transactions accurately.
• Maintain accurate customer data and loan/credit files in required systems.
• Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security procedures; handle end-of-day procedures.
• Schedule staff, recruit when needed, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Develop local community relationships to expand branch reach and brand awareness.
