Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Branch Manager in British Columbia to lead the local team, drive growth, and deliver exceptional client experiences. You will guide strategic planning, community engagement, and day-to-day operations to achieve branch goals and elevate service standards.

The role emphasizes developing talent, maintaining strong client relationships, and collaborating across departments to maximize profitability and market presence. A relocation allowance may be available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 General Insurance license required.
• Minimum 3 years insurance industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with Auto and Personal Lines insurance.
• Motor vehicle insurance knowledge (e.g., ICBC Autoplan) considered an asset.
• Industry designation (CAIB, CIP, FCIP, CRM) considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Execute on annual business plan to exceed targets and maximize growth including new business and retention.
• Inspire your team to excellence to deliver a memorable client experience.
• Actively participate in business and industry communities to build a network of contacts that improve the branch and organization.
• Recruit, develop, and manage talent; support career planning and learning.
• Manage day-to-day branch operations, branding, and profit & loss statements.

A day in the life -

Business Development

• Execute on annual business plan in order to exceed targets and maximize every opportunity for growth including new business and business retention.
• Inspire your team to excellence in order to deliver a memorable client experience.
• Actively participate in both the business and industry communities to build a network of contacts that improve the presence and reputation of the branch and organization.

Talent Management

• Ensure high employee engagement through recruiting, talent management, development, and career planning.
• Commitment to continued learning & development.
• Provide a positive work environment that attracts, retains and motivates talent.
• Support the team of talent to achieve their highest performance potential.
• Identify and develop future leadership talent (Supervisors, Leads, Managers).

Operational

• Manage day to day operational aspects of the branch including corporate branding and profit & loss statements

Requirements

Salary Expectations

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions. A relocation allowance may also be available for qualified candidates.
