Location: 15 Goderich Rd, Hamilton, ON L8E 4P2

Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm to 12:30am (4x10hr shifts)

Shift Premium: 2nd Shift ($3), 3rd Shift ($4), Weekend ($3)

Position Summary:

As an experienced Body Shop Technician with Penske, you’ll use industry-leading technology and repair techniques – plus cutting-edge diagnostic equipment – to get our customers' vehicles back in high-quality condition. You’ll perform minor and major truck and trailer collision repairs, enjoying the support of a dedicated team.

You’ll have opportunities for ongoing learning through our in-house training programs. Penske was the first in the industry to become I-CAR Gold certified. Major Responsibilities:

• Perform all levels of truck collision repair and maintenance, including cab/sheet metal repair, fiberglass repair, welding, frame straightening, suspension, box replacement, systems repairs, surface prep, and painting.
• Identify needed parts for disassembled truck and trailer repairs.
• Document warrantable repairs on repair orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Road test vehicles as needed.
• Complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Perform other assigned projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

• 6 years of practical experience or equivalent education and experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational/technical training preferred
• Specialized repair/refinish experience for trucks and trailers
• Proficiency with tools, welding, paint equipment, and shop machinery
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow safety and operational guidelines (DOT, OSHA, Penske policies)
• Regular attendance is essential
• Willingness to travel, work scheduled hours, and pass background and drug screenings
• Position regulated by DOT; must maintain driver qualification files

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, sitting
• Use of hands for routine tasks
• Work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
