Job summary

Town of Oakville is seeking a customer-focused Ticketing Assistant for the Oakville Centre and other venues. You will process ticket orders in person or by phone, assist the public with memberships and subscriptions, and provide information on costs and deadlines.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills (Word, Excel, internet research). Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected; some familiarity with ticketing software is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must be highly motivated and organized with outstanding problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Good working knowledge of computers, including experience in Word, Excel, and internet research.
  • Knowledge of or working experience with ticketing software would be an asset.
  • Must be available and willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of customer service area is preferred.

  • Process, sell, and provide information on Big Ticket Membership discounts, length of membership, and costs.
  • Process orders and provide information on costs, availability, and deadlines for subscription packages.
  • Provide accurate information on policies, procedures and theatre etiquette to the public.
  • Reception duties for the Oakville Centre in person and over the phone.
  • Provide technical support to patrons purchasing tickets via the Oakville Centre website.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process single ticket orders in person or by phone to different events taking place at the Oakville Centre and other venues in Oakville.
  • Process, sell, and provide detailed information to the public on the Big Ticket Membership discounts, length of membership, and costs.
  • Process orders and provide information on costs, availability, and deadline dates for subscription packages available to events at the Centre.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information on policies, procedures and theatre etiquette to the public.
  • Reception duties for theOakville Centrein person and over the phone.
  • Respond and assist patrons by providing technical support to the public purchasing tickets to events on sale at the Oakville Centre via its website.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly motivated and organized with outstanding problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Good working knowledge of computers, including experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as proficient internet research skills are an asset.
  • Knowledge and work experience in a customer service area is preferred.
  • Must be available and willing to workdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of or working experience with ticketing software would be an asset.
