The Town of Oakville is seeking a drop-in program monitor for the Recreation and Culture department to assist with supervising the town’s drop-in programs and ensuring participant safety.

You will handle attendance records, provide excellent customer service, and help with setup and daily operations while complying with safety policies. This position emphasizes strong communication and a genuine passion for community programs.

Responsabilidades

• Arrive at the program site in time to properly prepare for the day's program and start and end the program according to schedule.
• Ensure the continuing safety of all participants while at the program.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and proof of payment from each program participant.
• Create and enforce a positive and respectful environment for those participating.
• Assist with daily set up/clean up of the program site.
• Provide exceptional customer service including assistance for any customers that have questions regarding Town of Oakville programs.
• Apply safety precautions and procedures in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Town of Oakville policies.
• Notify the supervisor of any problems and/or recommendations regarding participants which may affect the quality of the program.
• Attend and participate in all staff training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Current Intermediate First Aid with CPR C (formerly Standard First Aid with CPR C) from a WSIB-approved provider, issued within the last three (3) years and valid throughout the term of employment.

Please note that this position requires a satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector screening check dated within the last 30 days as a condition of employment. Candidates who are under the age of 18 at the time of hire will only be required to provide a criminal record check.
