Job summary

Brobston Group LLC in Toronto seeks a Boutique Director to drive sales, store operations and client development for a freestanding luxury boutique. You will lead the management and sales teams while partnering with regional leadership to execute merchandising, visual presentation and events.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual boutique sales goals across all product categories and report on sell-through and client feedback.
  • Lead, develop and motivate Department Managers, Sales Associates, and Operations staff to meet individual and team targets.
  • Ensure exceptional client experience and oversee client development initiatives and in-store promotions.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll budgets, commercial expenses and headcount to maintain the boutique operating budget.
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruitment, hiring and employee relations; conduct regular management touchbases.
  • Coordinate events and trunk shows with Corporate Office to increase traffic and sales.
  • Oversee visual merchandising in line with brand direction and collaborate with Merchants and Training on product knowledge.
  • Manage operational processes including shipping & receiving, inventory, aftersales, returns and loss prevention to minimize stock loss.
  • Review operational reports and ensure compliance with company policies, safety codes and security procedures.

Job description

Summary

The Boutique Director is accountable for all aspects of the freestanding boutique, driving sales performance, store operations and client development while leading the management and sales teams. This role partners with regional leadership and corporate teams to execute merchandising, visual presentation, and store events to maximize traffic and profitability. The Director ensures operational excellence, compliance with company standards, and outstanding client service.

Requirements


  • 10+ years of boutique management experience in luxury fashion.

  • Strong understanding of the luxury fashion industry and high-net-worth clientele.

  • Proven ability to develop, train and lead a leadership team and retail staff.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.

  • Ability to delegate effectively, prioritize in a fast-paced environment and problem-solve to improve performance.

  • Willingness to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays and to travel as needed.

  • Proficiency operating necessary store equipment and understanding of company policies and procedures.
