Job summary

Botanist at Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver is seeking a Junior Server to support the service team and deliver a refined dining experience in a Forbes Five-Star setting.

You will assist with food and beverage service, maintain menu knowledge, anticipate guest needs, and help keep stations clean and stocked while upholding elevated standards and collaborating with FOH and culinary teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Serving It Right certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Servers in delivering a seamless, professional, and engaging dining experience.
• Assist with food and beverage service, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and timing meet Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star standards.
• Maintain a strong understanding of menus, ingredients, and preparation methods to confidently support guest interactions.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, attentive service throughout the dining experience.
• Assist in setting, clearing, and resetting tables with precision and attention to detail.
• Ensure all service areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
• Communicate effectively with both Front of House and Culinary teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Support large parties, special events, and unique dining experiences with professionalism.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Other duties assigned.
