Job summary

Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver invites you to join our award-winning hotel team as a Food & Beverage Server. You will provide professional, friendly service, assist guests with menu items and dietary requests, and manage In-Room Dining orders in our vibrant F&B environment.

Qualifications

• Food & Beverage service experience preferred.
• Point of Sale (POS) system experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• BC Serving It Right certificate required prior to employment.
• Available to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Assist guests with menu items and dietary requests.
• Take and enter In-Room Dining orders into POS system.
• Pickup orders efficiently from the kitchen.
• Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of setup.
• Deliver food and beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Have full knowledge of all food & beverage menu items, garnishes, ingredients and preparation methods.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Consistently provide professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding menu items and dietary requests in an informative and helpful manner
• Take and enter into POS System all In-Room Dining orders
• Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen
• Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up
• Deliver food & beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Have full knowledge of all food & beverage menu items, garnishes, ingredients and preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage service experience preferred
• Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• BC Serving It Right Certificate required prior to commencing employment
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekendsand holidays
