Job summary

Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver seeks a Bar Back to support the Bar team and ensure exceptional guest service in Botanist. You will assist with side duties, run food orders, and maintain beverage stock while knowledge of menus and promotions supports the bar team.

Candidates with restaurant or hospitality experience and a Serving It Right certification are preferred. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a luxury hotel setting.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
• Provide support to the Bar team by completing assigned side duties, resetting work area, running food orders, taking food/beverage orders at the bar.
• Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines.
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods.
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions.
• Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
