Job summary

Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Botanist restaurant in Vancouver is seeking a Bar Back who will support the bar team and ensure exceptional guest service. You will assist with drinks, stock, and food/beverage orders while maintaining clean, safe work areas and knowledge of menus and promotions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
• Passion for food, beverage, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Serving It Right certification.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
• Provide support to the Bar team by way of completing assigned side duties, resetting work area, running food orders, taking food/beverage orders at the bar
• Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned
